Olive Cullen Vocal Coach at The House of Voice

Olive is a passionate, enthusiastic, Melbourne based performer and teacher, originally from the coastal town of Wollongong, where she trained for eight years with Karen Cummings, and undertook short courses at NIDA and with the NSW Arts Unit. She has performed for 15 years in operas, plays, musicals, pantomimes, films, cabarets, variety shows and private functions and is from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music (Bachelor of Music Performance) trained under Linda Barcan.

Olive also has extensive experience in choirs, having sung in chamber groups, vocal ensembles, a capella ensembles, and as a backing vocalist in the NSW Schools Spectacular of 2019, and she is passionate about promoting the value of singing in communities, as a result winning the Union House Theatre’s 2021 Community Engagement Award for her work on the UMMTA Chorus.

Recent performing credits include ensemble in Mahagonny Songspiel and 7 Little Australians with Opera Carnivale, featured artist in the Crystal Clear Productions Cabaret, the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland with Theatremax, Caroline Hodgson/Madame Brussels in Lachlan Boldt’s Madame for UMMTA’s 2021 Sitzprobe, and featured performer in the Club Voltaire Vaudevillian nights.
